f1 1/10 vintage collection for f103 tamiya

58011 - 1 /10 Ferrari 312T3

Overview:

The Ferrari 312T3 actually burst onto the F1 scene in 1978 and won 4 races in the Grand Prix season, and took Ferrari to the 2nd place in the constructors championship. The Ferrari 312T3 has become an iconic car as it was driven by the brilliant Gilles Villeneuve.

Tamiya faithfully recreated the F1 car and released it as a 1/12th Pan track car.

Bellow is the Tamiya 1979 RC Model 58011 312T3 Original Car - Hard to Find and on top of all is very expensive becuse this is one of the oldest Tamiya F1 Release Ferratri 1/10 Models..

Collectability:
The car is still highly collectible, with original kits being very hard to find. The reissues float about on the market from time to time, but not in any sizeable quantity.

Reissue:
Reissued on the F103 chassis in 2001 which meant an upgrade to the chassis to the FRP double deck setup, with much more powerful drive train and suspension. The reissued cars sold very well and are no longer available. Bellow is the my 2001 RC Model.

58084 - 1/10 Ferrari 189 Fl

Overview:

It had been some time since Tamiya released a Ferrari based car in it's lineup so in 1990 it released the first in the series of Fxxx chassis designs with the Ferrari F189 Late Version. The car used the F101 chassis that would feature on 3 other kits.

The Late Version of the Ferrari F189 was the very famous F1 car driven by Nigel Mansell, and Gerhard Berger, and this kit includes decals to recreate the 27 or 28 numbered cars

Specification:

The chassis was an FRP plate setup, with a lower and upper deck. One single oil damper connected the rear motor pod to the car to give the rear it's suspension setup. The wide front arms had nylon uprights connected with small springs to allow them some movement on the track.

The car also boasts a ball differential system powering the rear wheels for realistic F1 performance. The bodyshell is once again a Tamiya masterpiece and replicates the real car is amazing detail. Large front bumper-wing and rear double level wing finish off the car nicely. Uses the 540 Motor

Collectability:
Due to the high visibility and interest in both Ferrari and Nigel Mansell the car is quite a collectible kit. It has a high interest from a whole section of the collector market that are focused on the F1 style kits from the Tamiya range. Parts are easier to come by as some are common on the newer F102/F103 chassis types, although bodysets are still very difficult to get hold of.

50443 - 1/10 Ferrari 643 Fl

These cars are my favorites on my RC Collection. It took me a while to collect them and a lot of serch to find them. The Ferrari 643 is found only as a "Body Kit only" and is hard to find. I own two of these cars with Type B Tamiya Competition Rubber Wheels. I realy like these cars becuse they look so realistic and I have the duo cars Alesi and Prost. The bodys came from Japan - Tokyo and both have the F101 Chassis  colleted from other projects. The chassis are in good condition no scratches. It doesn't make sence to own chassis on bad condition with NIB Bodies. "The condition of the car is very important for a collector becuse it gives more retail value as the model gets older and older.
I have some 70's RC Cars on the RC Collection NIB. I decided to build them all and take pictures before building them.

58142 - 1/10 Ferrari 412T1 Fl

About the car:
I like this car, is not that bad looking. I think this one is close to the 643 cars but not quite that close as looks. I like the wat the cockip came out. I think I been geting a lot of practice and better on my painting techniques. I like to use Ferrari Red on all my Ferrari Cars and finish it up with a top layer of bright red polycarbonate. I will only use this cars as display only.
