58053 - 1/10 Road Wizard Formula 1
Overview:
The Road Wizard was a new design on the old F1 model formula for Tamiya. The kit removed the bulky plates in favour of a very thin chassis plate, with
long suspension arms, and a mid-mounted battery pack.
The kit performed extremely well, although
was prone to breaking, parts were also hard to come by to make repairs. The kit also unusually came with two bodyshells and
two sets of decals.
Specification:
A lower FRP chassis
plate was brought together with plastic suspension arms and nylon uprights. The RS-540S motor was used on the car now that
it was starting to become the defacto motor in Tamiya kits. A gear differential at the rear provided the car with it's
powertrain.
The kit also included two lexan bodyshells, with one John Player Special (JPS) decal
set and one Tamiya Motorsport set.

Collectability:
The Road Wizard is one of the rarest F1 cars to find nowadays. It does command good prices,
but not that high as it isn't based on any particular car.
